Delinquent Accounts
Students are responsible for monitoring charges on their ZOT account and for paying any outstanding balance in a timely manner.
Financial Services conducts a monthly review of delinquent accounts.
When a student’s account balance remains unpaid past the due date, the account becomes delinquent, and a financial hold is placed on the student’s account. A financial hold can affect a student’s registration for future terms.
Franchise Tax Board Interagency Intercept Collection (FTBIIC) Program Once an account balance becomes 180 days past-due, it will be sent to the FTBIIC for collections and may intercept any tax refunds and lottery winnings. |
Collection Agencies Balances of $25 and more will be sent to a collection agency for further collections. Student accounts placed with a collection agency may be reported to one or more credit bureaus without further notifications. |
